Elements of the Program
Training:
Ongoing developing if advanced Excel/VBA Users via series of hands-on workshops. The number and timing of workshops is identified in the strategic plan. A typical plan would include an ongoing series of 40-hour Spreadsheet Aided Engineering workshops each delivered over a 2 week period. Each workshop meets for a ½-day for 10 days. Part -1 is held for 5 days, and part II is held for 5 days a few weeks after part I. This allows time for absorption of the material, project development, Q&A, and work on enterprise level objectives. In addition to the foundation workshop for technical staff, a parallel workshop with different objectives would be offered for management staff. The key to implementation of the foundation material is a series of applications topic specific workshops. Again, those selected would be determined as part of the strategic plan. A list of SpreadsheetWorld training modules available to support this program is attached.
Advising and Consulting:
SpreadsheetWorld staff would meet with your key staff to develop an Enterprise Strategic Plan (ESP) which is tailored to your organization. These meetings would typically be conducted in the afternoons during the weeks when workshops are in session. The idea is to use the other ½ day each week is spent working on enterprise level activity with management, IT Staff, and engineering leadership. This is also the time allocated to work with individuals and groups on application projects.
Tools:
One of the key objectives of the ESP will be to develop libraries of Excel/VBA Functions and Information. This would be initialized by installing SpreadsheetWorld’s xLManager and its suite of XlToolboxes. It would continue by providing a process for ongoing development of Enterprise Excel Add-ins, Templates and Tables. The following is a partial list of SpreadsheetWorld XlToolboxes available to support this program. |
